Mariel and Adam met each other in the physics graduate program at the University of Colorado in Boulder, which is also where they met me. Lucky for them I have abandoned a life as a scientist so that I could one day photograph their wedding
But it’s Springtime in Boulder and what better way to get comfortable in front of the camera than an engagement shoot? So we got out to the South Boulder Creek Trail for some good ol’-fashioned rustic outdoorsy photos.

We just couldn’t not do the old barn wall photo. Unfortunately the doors were locked, so no cool shots inside this beautiful old building. But I’m looking into it for future shoots

Classic Boulder – the Flatirons and dramatic clouds. I love this town

By far the most fun part of this shoot was the slack line. As the sun went down we tested our skills on the line Adam put up in the pasture. We did a pretty good job of dodging the cow patties randomly strewn about the ground inches below our feet.

Mariel is improving her balance on the slack line with impressive progress, but at the moment she enjoys a little help from Adam. These two are awesome people by themselves, but together they are even awesomer
I’m looking eagerly forward to capturing some beautiful images of their wedding day in October. Congratulations you two!
