Betsy and Joe ~ Snow Mountain Ranch Wedding
Betsy and Joe are hitched! And I had the honor of capturing their beautiful wedding day at the scenic Snow Mountain Ranch near Granby, CO. It’s rustic lodges, old homestead structures, scenic lake, and mountain views helped to make this a memorable and distinctly Colorado wedding. Here’s a little taste of the day Betsy and Joe were married…

Joe played the bagpipes for the guests before the ceremony began. He did a great job! Can you tell why this site is called Columbine Point?

The clouds rolled in and past, dropping only a light sprinkle on us. We had a nice cool day without rain – perfect.

Betsy and Joe had planned to canoe on the lake in advance, but lightning kept them out of the water for a while. Finally, they got the chance and made it happen.

Always dancing, these two!

As the sun set and the crescent moon presided, the celebration continued…

Anyone who knows Betsy and Joe knows that this dance floor was rockin’ all night long! These two were definitely in their element.

Congratulations Betsy and Joe! So glad to have been a part of your amazing wedding day
Betsy and Joe ~ Engagement Photos
Betsy and Joe are busy people. In addition to planning a wedding, they are both graduate students and Betsy just defended her thesis, and they are getting ready to move to Germany. So when the idea of an engagement session came up, it just seemed like we couldn’t squeeze it in. But after seeing Adam and Mariel’s engagement photos at South Boulder Creek, Betsy decided to give the schedule another shot, and we found a couple of hours that worked for all of us. I met up with them at the South Boulder Creek Trail…

Just out of frame is their hand-made log raft

The South Boulder Creek Trail-head has some cool old wooden structures. We biked around exploring the scenic Boulder landscape and photographing Betsy and Joe being in love
.

It just wouldn’t be a Boulder shoot without getting those Flatirons in there!

Stay tuned for images from Betsy and Joe’s wedding…
